More than 2,000 languages are spoken in Africa. Multilingualism is the norm, and many books are written in (local) African languages. These authentic African books often contain a wealth of (cultural) information and food for thought. In order to make these special books, and thus African literature (and culture), accessible to a wider Dutch audience, our goal is to translate at least two African items into Dutch each year. Our translation serices include books, documents and electronic media sources.
In Afrika worden meer dan 2000 talen gesproken. Meertaligheid is de norm en er worden dan ook veel boeken in (lokale) Afrikaanse talen geschreven. In deze authentieke Afrikaanse boeken zit vaak veel (culturele) informatie en stof tot nadenken. Om deze bijzondere boeken en daarmee de Afrikaanse literatuur (en cultuur) toegankelijk te maken voor een breder Nederlands publiek is ons doel om minstens twee items per jaar te vertalen naar het Nederlands. Onze vertaaldiensten houden boeken, documenten en elektronische mediabronnen in.
